Valentines Day Dessert Recipe-Chocolate, Cream, Strawberries

Valentines’s Day is a peculiar day!
Shouldn’t we show are love and respect everyday to the people we love?
Do we really need a day to be reminded???  Well, it gives us a good reason to eat more chocolate!!!  That is why I have a Valentines Day Dessert Recipe of course with chocolate.

I was reading a book called ” The Plan” by Lyn-Genet Recitas   and she doesn’t suggest that you should completely avoid chocolate. You can have at least one ounce of good chocolate.   ( if you are trying to lose weight this book is enlightening.  Our DETOX Soup recipe we published a couple of weeks ago fits into some of the beliefs of this book.

Ok, back to the bad stuff….. this Valentines Day Dessert Recipe with Chocolate, Whipped Cream, and Strawberries will not be on The Plan.  But boy is it delicious!

Valentines Day Dessert Recipe Ingredients

This recipe has only 4 ingredients, Brownies, whipped cream,  strawberries and chocolate sauce.
If you want you could  buy chocolate brownies, use cool whip and of course purchase chocolate sauce.
So then it is all just about assembling.
I used individual glass dessert serving dishes.  Although, if you have a big group it would be faster to create the same layers in a trifle bowl.

Valentines Day Dessert Recipe Directions

For my purpose I made the brownies but from a Ghirardelli Brownie mix.   Once your brownie is made then start by whipping up the cream (or use Cool Whip, what ever is best and easiest for you.)

While the cream is being whipped then slice the strawberries and cut brownies into small bite size chunks.

First add a bit of cream to the bottom of a glass dessert dish.  I suggest glass to you can see some of the layers.

Place the strawberries around the outer edge.  It is easier if you place the sliced strawberries pointy side up.  This picture does not show that but I learned it is better as I  made more.

Place brown chunks in centre and then more whipping cream on top.

Don’t go crazy with the chocolate sauce.  It is already super rich. Add a strawberry on top and then it is ready to serve.
Wasn’t that fast and easy!!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Valentines Day!!!
